Typhae Pollen

Classified as an herb that stops bleeding, the pollen from the common cattails that grow along streams and creeks is sweet in flavor and neutral in energy. Stopping bleeding by cooling pathogenic heat and returning the Blood to homeostasis, it is also a good blood invigorator for relieving stagnation. This herb is sometimes combined with San Qi for its markedly strong ability to both stop bleeding as well as dissolve blood stasis.
