E Zhu is one of 3 herbs we stock that has the name Curcuma in its title. For this reason, we differntiate between this herb and the others by calling E Zhu by its latin name, Zedoaria. E Zhu is a strong Blood invigorator that aids in breaking up stasis and palpable masses. It works at the qi level where San Leng works similarly at the Blood (xue) level.

E Zhu is bitter and acrid in flavor, and has a warming energy. E Zhu enters the Spleen and Liver meridians.
