Lu Rong or formally, Deer Antler Velvet, is usually from the Red Sitka Deer species; a powerful and expensive herb used to tonify the Yang and replenish the essence (Jing). It is said to strongly tonify Yang, nourish Blood, strengthen the sinews and bones, and is used on some occasions for this purpose in martial arts training wines and energy tonics.
