Dioscorea Nipponica

Literally meaning "Penetrate Mountain Dragon", The Japanese Yam, or Dioscorea, is a wind-damp herb that also invigorates the Blood. Chuan Shan Long is commonly used for bi-zheng obstruction, releiving joints of pain and aiding with difficult or stiff joint mobility.

Chuan Shan Long is bitter in flavor and exhibits an energetically cooling nature. It enters the Liver and Lung meridians.
